Blueticks

ChatGPT

Connect Blueticks to ChatGPT as a custom MCP connector. Read tools and write tools are separate, so ChatGPT asks you before it sends or changes anything.

ChatGPT connects to the same hosted MCP server as Claude:

https://api.blueticks.co/mcp

Today: add Blueticks as a custom connector in ChatGPT developer mode (steps below). Coming soon: an official Blueticks listing in ChatGPT's app directory, so you can add it without developer mode.

Add the connector

  1. In ChatGPT settings, turn on developer mode (under the advanced connector settings).
  2. Create a new connector, name it (for example Blueticks), and set the MCP server URL to https://api.blueticks.co/mcp with OAuth authentication.
  3. ChatGPT opens the Blueticks consent screen — sign in to Blueticks if asked and click Authorize.
  4. Enable the connector in a chat and ask, for example, "Which WhatsApp chats have unread messages?".

Read tools and write tools

ChatGPT decides whether to ask for confirmation from how each tool is labeled. So that every label is honest, Blueticks shows ChatGPT each mixed tool as two tools: a read-only one, and a _write one that holds every action that creates, changes, sends, or deletes something.

  • Read tools (chats, contacts, …) are marked read-only and run without a prompt.
  • *_write tools are marked as writes, so ChatGPT asks you to confirm before any message is sent or anything is changed. A send can't be routed through a read tool — the server rejects a write action called on the read-only half.
Read tool → actionsWrite tool → actions
chats → list, get_latest, search, get, list_messages, get_media, get_participantschats_write → send_message_text, send_message_media, send_message_poll, mark_read, archive, unarchive, load_more_history
scheduled_messages → list, get, ackscheduled_messages_write → send, update, cancel
groups → getgroups_write → create, update, leave
audiences → list, getaudiences_write → create, update, delete, append_contacts, update_contact, remove_contact
campaigns → list, getcampaigns_write → create, pause, resume, cancel
webhooks → list, getwebhooks_write → create, update, delete
engine → statusengine_write → logout, reload
contacts → list, get_profile_picture—
utils → validate_phone, link_preview, current_date_time—

If the connection was granted read-only access, the _write tools are not offered at all.

Things to try

  • "What did +1 555 010 0123 send me yesterday?" (read — no prompt)
  • "Reply to her: confirmed for 10am." (write — ChatGPT asks first)
  • "List my scheduled messages that haven't gone out yet."

Limits

On the free plan, the MCP server and the REST API share one quota of 5 requests per 6-hour window; every tool call counts once. Paid plans are unlimited. See Troubleshooting.
